NBCC has always been ahead in introducing
new technologies in the Country. With sophisticated slip-form shuttering
and suspended platform equipments capable of achieving about three
meters heights of concreting in a day in the construction of high rise
structures of various types i.e. cylindrical, tapering, even steeply tapering
structures and with simultaneous corballing and lining operation, the Corporation
has been able to achieve high productivity in construction of tall RCC
Chimneys. It is a matter of pride for NBCC THAT THE TALLEST CHIMNEY IN
INDIA(277.5 mtrs) at Talchar(Orissa) and the tallest TV Tower (235 mtrs.)
in India at Pitampura, Delhi have been constructed by the Corporation by
using the slip form Technique. Today, NBCC is number one construction company
in the Country in construction of tall chimneys/TV Towers/NBCC, in collaboration
with the German MNC M/s Strief & Co. introduced and manufactured the
Jump form Equipment required in construction of Cooling Towers. With the
use of indigenously developed Jump Form Equipment, NBCC has constructed
Cooling Towers at Bhathinda(Punjab) and Gandhi Nagar (Gujarat). This Technology
is successfully being used by NBCC in other parts of the Country in construction
of Cooling Towers.
With mankind's progressive endeavour
emerging as a potent threat to the global environment, NBCC is working
actively towards conserving it. It has constructed a number of water and
sewage Treatment Plants in the Country. NBCC has already employed the UASB
Technology which has enormous advantages over the traditional methods for
construction of Sewage Treatment Plants.
The Government and the private Sector
together have planned to generate about 20 lakhs dwelling units every year.
NBCC has entered into collaboration with MNC's to develop Innovative Rapid
Construction Technologies for Low Cost Housing which is simpler, faster
and economical to build, as also hurricane and earthquake proof.
NBCC is now actively engaged in
the promotion of trenchless(NO-DIG) Technology, a micro-tunelling method
of construction, every useful for laying underground utility services such
as cables/pipes etc. across busy roads, railway crossings, under canals
etc. The technology causes no disruption to traffic, no damage to adjoining
pipes/cables and is environment friendly. The technique can also be used
for environment friendly. The technique can also be used for replacement
or re-habilitation with minimum excavation from surface. NBCC, which is
also a NODAL AGENCY for promotion of Trenchless Technology in India, has
so far executed successfully various projects of Trenchless Technology
in India. The Corporation owns various equipments required for execution
of Trenchless Technology projects.
he Corporation, has today, identified
Real Estate as one of the major thrust areas of its operations. While it
has already executed some real estate projects in various parts of the
Country such as NBCC Place & NBCC Tower in Delhi, NBCC House, Ahmedabad,
NBCC House, Kaushambi(up), it is developing various Real Estate Projects
in different parts of the Country.
Customer Satisfaction is one of
the basic missions of NBCC.
Over the years, NBCC's Engineers,
Dedicated & experienced manpower have achieved perfection in construction
services and have successfully handed over fully functional buildings to
its esteemed clients. NBCC lays great emphasis on maintenance aspect of
buildings and service. NBBC, today provides round the clock Maintenance
Services to its various customers in the country. NBCC is the only Organisation
in the Public Sector which provides result oriented Maintenance & Rehabilitation
Services through an exclusive Maintenance Wing.

horizon, NBCC today has a resounding presence in the Global Construction
Industry. In its project exports endeavour, NBCC had executed a number
of sophisticated and diverse projects in Iraq, Libya, Yemen, Nepal, Maldives
and Mauritius.
Apart from the construction activities,
the Corporation has been rendering project Management and Consultancy Services.
A team comprising of Architects, Town-planners and Structural Engineers
is engaged in rendering expertise for civil, electrical and environmental
project and either allied works from concept to commissioning stage. The
types of Consultancy works includes Planning, Designing and Detailing for
various types of Buildings, Hospitals, Institutions and Community Centres,
Universities and preparation of Master Plans, Area Development Plans etc.
It augurs well that on the basis
of MoU parameters, the Corporation, for its performance during the last
three consecutive years, has been awarded "EXCELLENT" rating by the Department
of Public Enterprises, Government of India.
NBCC lays a great emphasis on the
training and development needs of its Human Resource. Training and skill
upgradation in various Construction Trades is high among the priorities
of NBCC. The Corporation has set up its own "Employees Development Centre(EDC)
and Management Development centre(MDC)" in Delhi for the purpose.
The Corporation has initiated action
to be an ISO-9001 Company very soon with a view to complete at Home &
Global Markets.
