The etiology of disease is older than the history of mankind. From the time life in any form appeared on this planet, susceptibility to biological disorders remained as a part of life itself. With continuous developments in various fields of science and technology, not only man could unveil the genesis, progress and prognosis of various diseases, but also discover the effective therapeutics and prophylactics to cure and prevent them. Homeopathy is one of such therapeutics, which has, for long, kept the whole world guessing its potential to offer cure of various diseases and their prevention at times. People would still ask, “Sir, is there any cure Homeopathy can offer in this disease?” Moreover, people would go to a homeopathy only when a few allopaths have pronounced the sickness as incurable or left without cure. People normally approach Homeopathy only as a last resort. Despite the fact that Homeopathy has rendered amazingly miraculous cures in certain abandoned cases, people are yet to develop unquestionable faith in his infallible knowledge of healing.
Healing Power of Homeopathy

Homeopathy is based on the principle of “Similia Similibus Curentur” meaning thereby the drugs excite the same symptoms, which they cure in a diseased state. Elements show least dynamism in their crude form but their nucleus encompasses an atomic power, which can move mountains. Homeopathy employs the immense nucleus power of an element to bring about a cure in a diseased state. All other therapies employ crude drugs, which in most of the cases, either suppress symptoms without curing the biological disorders or excite their own symptoms as side effects. As there is no crude drugging in Homeopathy, it generates no side effects, and produces the least complicated cure, which is more sustainable and permanent.
Supremacy over other therapies

No machine can function successfully unless it has some in-built self-correcting system. This must be remembered that it is the VITALITY that cures and not the drug in isolation. If the VITALITY, which keeps awake the operating system of the body, fails, no drug on this earth can ever cure. That is why there are some diseases, which become incurable, as VITALITY does not respond to the treatment. Homeopathy believes in helping the VITALITY to overcome the disorder state. It cures the man, not the disease as the latter is only a group of symptomatic revelation of the disordered state of mind and body, which disappears as soon as the order of mind and body is restored. This is why Homeopathy does not believe in naming the disease but concentrates more on first, mental symptoms, and later, bodily symptoms. By employing the minute doses, Homeopathy evokes the atomic inherent power of the drug to match and coordinate with the VITALITY of the bodily systems to bring about a permanent cure. Hence, it is the most effective therapeutics.
Homeopathy as a Canalizer

Cleaning restores order. When one has a digestive disorder, the operating system of the body, depending upon the degree of disorder, commences the cleaning process sometimes by way of vomiting or diarrhoea. Principles of Cure
Following are the basic principles of a curative process recognized by Homeopathy and endorsed by all other therapies: -

1. Within out – A medical treatment should enable the body to throw out undesirable matter stored within the body or if it is performed through surgical means, is sure to bring a permanent cure.

2. Upward down – A medical treatment should ensure the onset of cure upward down or allow the symptoms to shift from upper to lower parts of body. This shall bring permanent cure in due course of time. The reverse process indicates wrong treatment requiring immediate cessation or replacement of medical prescription.

3. Last symptoms should go first – A medical treatment to be curative should remove the last symptoms first in order of their occurrence in a chronic diseased state, and the disease should be cured over a course of time. Any violation of this rule in a chronic disease is sure NOT to bring a permanent cure.

4. Homeopathy follows the above rules religiously in treating all the chronic diseases. It may be mentioned here that any diseased state, which continues for a period of more than 3-4 weeks, may be classified as a “Chronic Disease”. All others of shorter duration are called “Acute Diseases”. Homeopathic treatment is equally effective both in curing acute as well as chronic diseased states.

There are too many wrong perceptions about Homeopathy, which, more often, deprive us from enjoying the unparalleled fruits of this therapy. To mention just a few: -

1. That Homeopathy takes longer time to cure: This is false as it is the only therapy that employs certain medicines in acute cases, which provide a perfect cure as soon as the medicine is placed on the tongue. No other therapy can do this. In a chronic diseased state, any treatment resulting in immediate cure is not a cure at all as it is a mere suppression of symptoms, and the disease remains in the background without cure. So, beware.

2. That Homeopathy is not based on scientific principles:This is false as every medicine employed by Homeopathy is based on proven and recorded facts. Materia Medica contains symptomatic characters of Homeopathic medicines each of which has been clinically tested and empirically proven.

3. That Homeopathy aggravates:This is false, as homeopathy does not believe in mere removal of symptoms by suppression. It helps the bodily systems to accelerate cleaning process, wherever needed, by canalizing out the undesirable stores within the body without which no permanent cure is possible under any therapy. As soon as this process is completed under Homeopathic treatment, a permanent cure prevails.

4. That Homeopathy has a limited scope for employment in certain specified diseases only:This is false, as Homeopathy does not believe in mere name of a disease. Any troublesome symptom or an abnormal mental disposition is an area for a Homeopath to prescribe on. Homeopathy does not wait for prescribing and bringing about a cure until diseases goes far beyond to reflect in Pathology or Radiology. To quote just a few, even unusual fears from animals, disturbing dreams, unfounded troublesome thoughts, and subjects like unexplained sadness and mental depressions can successfully be treated by Homeopathy without disturbing the Central Nervous System through crude drugging such as antidepressant as in Allopathy which have several side-effects of very serious nature.
